PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy applies to the information Jack’s Family Fund (“JFF”) collects, including through any website or other online service (“Site”) and offline, including information collected from donors. This Privacy Policy describes our information collection practices, such as the types of information we collect regarding visitors to the Site (including donors) and how we may use that information. By using this Site, you consent to this Privacy Policy. With the exception of online donation information (collected by a third party ,Givebutter) and information collected on our Payroll Donation page (/payroll-donation), JFF is the sole owner of and the only organization that uses the personal information collected on this Site. Information gathered on our Payroll Donation page is shared with Jack’s Family Restaurants (JFR). Neither JFF nor JFR will not sell or rent this information to others under any circumstances.
Financial transactions: online donations, product sales, event registration
JFF uses a third party vendor, Givebutter, for online donations, product sales, and event registrations. Givebutter utilizes the world’s best payment encryption technology and security. Payments are processed through Givebutter’s PCI-compliant payments partner Stripe, where funds are securely held until they are withdrawn via bank transfer. Givebutter does not have access to donor credit card information and takes every measure to protect the personal information of users on our site. Learn more about information collected and protected by Givebutter at https://givebutter.com/privacy
Stripe is the payment processor used by Givebutter. All payment information is gathered by Stripe. This data is subject to Stripe’s consumer terms and privacy policy which can be found at https://stripe.com/privacy. No payment information (account numbers, credit card info) is stored or retained by JFF or Givebutter.
Any personally identifiable information gathered by the Site or Givebutter is used to acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes and to include you on JFF’s mailing list if you choose to join it. When you send a donation in honor or in memory of someone and request that an acknowledgement be sent to another individual or a family, we will use the name and address of that individual or family for acknowledgement purposes only. The Site and/or Givebutter may also offer an account or personal profile, and JFF may require you to provide personal information to set up such an account. An account may be required to schedule or modify recurring donations through the Site. If you choose, or are provided with, a username, password, or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential, as this information may be required to make changes to your account.
Refunds and Changes to Online Donations
JFF policy is not to refund online donations once submitted. You may schedule, modify or cancel recurring donations through your Givebutter account. If you have any questions or concerns about your account or a donation, please contact JFF at wecare@jacksfamilyfund.org or by calling 205-945-8167, ext.107.
Security and Payment Processing
JFF, Givebutter, and Stripe employ commercially reasonable security methods and technologies to help secure the personal information we collect and store. No financial account information is stored within JFF’s donor management database or on Givebutter. Access to the database is restricted to personnel with a legitimate business need to access or modify the information contained therein. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. We therefore cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to us, or that we transmit to you, or guarantee that it will be free from unauthorized access by third parties.
JFF/Givebutter uses Stripe for payment processing. Stripe represents that it fully adheres to PCI standards regarding secure storage of data, strong access control and other requirements. For further information on this subject please visit https://docs.stripe.com/security. Since we use a vendor to process credit card payments made through the Site and to store associated payment data, JFF does not directly collect such credit card information, nor does JFF store or have access to credit card information submitted online. For donations made offline, JFF may directly collect, store or have access to credit card information for processing payments.

JFF provides a separate online form to join our mailing list for newsletters and other communications. The information we collect includes: name, address, e-mail address and phone number. This information is securely stored internally and accessed only when we correspond with our mailing list periodically during the year, either via e-mail or regular mail. Please contact us if at any time you wish to be removed from the mailing list or if you would like to correct or change the personal information you have previously provided.
